One of the biggest criticisms that has been directed at the Wii is its large amount of shovelware. And it looks like gamers and critics aren't the only ones to have noticed.
In an interview with the Market for Computer and Video Games , 2K president Christopher Hartmann said that the console's market is "so flooded by crappy titles" that non-licensed games could struggle. He's not talking about No More Heroes , MadWorld or Zack and Wiki though. He's talking about 2K's own Carnival Games .
Harmann explained that "where people go wrong in the casual market" is that they release too many cheap games to finance their hits. This is a problem, he says, because "they forget these eight crappy titles will flood the market and will lead to problems in terms of production - and upset retailers. Also, the consumer will be pissed off because they'll be confused."
