Below 200 USD the key for Kotick With the recession biting across the developed world, Activision Blizzard boss Bobby Kotick is demanding that consoles retail for below 200 USD in a bid to maintain mass sales, in a statement presumably aimed in Sony's direction.
Kotick believes that "mass" sales can only be achieved below the 200 USD price point, although the executive isn't expecting to see such moves anytime soon.
"The price on platforms today has still not gotten down to mass-market price points and I think when you're in the economic circumstances that the world has found itself in, there really is a difference between a 199 USD game system and a 299 USD game system," he offered, speaking to Reuters .
Activision, meanwhile, are eying other markets for future growth with Kotick expecting more from Europe, as well as eying the release of Activision games in China and Korea.
