Amazon Now Selling WiiWare

Online retail giant Amazon recently opened an Xbox Live Storefront , and it's already led to some nice deals on XBLA titles. Now it looks like WiiWare will follow suit, after users at NeoGAF noticed that World of Goo is listed at the store. The gooey adventure title seems to be the only WiiWare game available so far, but it seems likely that others will follow. At the rate Amazon is moving, support for the Wii's Virtual Console and PlayStation Network can't be far behind. It wasn't very long ago that Amazon started accepting game trade-ins and opened its PC distribution store , so it's clear that they're taking videogames seriously as a business. It will be interesting to see how retailers like GameStop respond as Amazon slowly pushes more and more onto their turf. (link)
