Analyst: 1/3 of 'God of War 3' Buyers Don't Have a PS3

According to analysts at OTX's, one third of those who plan to purchase God Of War III  don't own a PlayStation 3. If their numbers are right, means the launch of the game will almost certainly result in a significant spike in PS3 sales. The launch of God of War III in late 2009/early 2010 will mark a pivotal moment for Sony. But in order to ensure that this game is a hardware sales driver, the cost of the base-level PS3 will need to be in the same ballpark as the Xbox 360 and Wii. So look for the combination of a price-cut and a truly killer system selling game for the PlayStation 3, and then finally the product might get the sales it clearly deserves (and needs!)
