Another Slight PS3 Firmware Update Is Live

Sony, why must you keep teasing us long-suffering PlayStation 3 owners with your firmware updates that don't do very much? The latest: Software update (v2.80). According to Sony, the tweak improves the quality of some PlayStation 3 format software. Thanks, I think. It would be nice, though, to get a little more detail on what these updates actually do, wouldn't it? I'd love to know which software will be improved, and how it will be improved. And does this update do anything else? For that matter, is this update preparation for the next update, which will finally answer everyone's prayers and fix every single gamer's last problem with the PlayStation 3? It remains to be seen, but I'm guessing "no." But speaking of your PS3 wish-list...what's on it? Personally, I would like the wonky media-serving to be improved.
