Add Codemasters to the suddenly crowded queue of studios vying for the title of 'hardcore Wii developer.' Their new game Overlord: Dark Legend is not necessarily for the casual of heart, or so it seems.
Speaking with MTV Multiplayer over at New York Comic Con, Brand manager Dan Robinson had plenty to say about Overlord's development on the Wii. Among other things, Robinson said that Nintendo fans are after a game that offers more than the standard Nintendo swish-and-flick. In that sense at least, he would classify Overlord as more of a 'hardcore' game.
"I mean, there are elements of it that are still fun [for casual players] and you can still get involved with it. But I think it's definitely more of a hardcore game than you've got on the Wii at the moment," Robinson said.
