The ongoing war between Microsoft and Datel rages on, stemming from the Xbox 360's upcoming drop of support for unauthorized storage devices. Datel previously reacted with "disappointment" towards Microsoft's decision, but had a more promising reaction today in a statement to retailers who will soon find themselves stocking Datel's soon-to-be worthless product.
Datel stated that they were aware of changes that needed to be made to "remedy the issue", and will soon announce a solution for the update. While Datel did not confirm exactly what the solution was (an update reverser? New memory cards/hard drives that workaround the unauthorized block?), we can probably expect word shortly.
