System got more games last year than any other format Despite many nay-sayers predicting the doom of the PC platform, Electronic Arts have kept the faith in the old beige box, the company's latest financial report noting that for the financial year ending March 2009, EA released some 32 PC titles.
This is more than any other format, we're reliably informed, beating the Xbox 360's 26, the PS3's 23 and even the 21 title released for the Wii.
That said, despite investing in the PC platform, EA suffered something of a traumatic financial year 2009, having duly confirmed a loss in excess of 1 billion USD for the 12 months in question.
In the future, the publisher promises to focus on delivering games in digital form to the PC - as well as exploring other business models such subscriptions, micro-transactions and advertising funding.
