Electronic Arts May Cut Loose Pandemic Brisbane

Electronic Arts has been in cost-cutting mode following disappointing sales of titles like Mirror's Edge , and rumors suggest that Pandemic's Brisbane, Australia studio may be one of the casualties. From Kotaku comes word that Pandemic Brisbane may have been "cut loose" by Electronic Arts. While the studio would be able to keep its original IP and its equipment, it would have to find a new publisher. EA responded by saying that upcoming cuts will indeed affect its studios, but declined to offer more details. Instead, acccording EA spokeswoman Mariam Sughayer, there will be "no more public announcements until our earnings call in early February." (link)
