Electroplankton Soothing Japanese Ears via DSiWare Next Week

Were you one of the lucky gamers who managed to snag Electroplankton from its original limited release? Well, this news isn't for you. Nintendo has announced plans to re-release Electroplankton in bits and pieces via DSiWare in Japan. It will be broken into ten parts (one for each race of Electroplankton) and released over the next month or two. Tracy, Hanenbon, Nanocarp and BeatNES will be released on July 8th, with Rec Rec and Lumiloop following on the 22nd and Sun Animalcule, Luminarian, Marine Snow and Volvoice releasing some time in August. Each part will cost Japanese DSi owners 200 points (or $2), which means the full set will set them back 2000 points (or $20). Not bad, considering the full game was released for $50. The DSiWare version of Electroplankton hasn't been announced for North America, but you can probably expect to see it here eventually. (link)
