Oh, Gears of War 2 . If it's not one thing it's another. In this case, it's the unpopular ranking system, which takes into account wins, losses and whether or not players were favored to win that match. Among other things.
According to Joystiq though, Epic is considering doing away with the Trueskill-based system and embracing an experience-based alternative. The new idea was proposed on the Gears forums by Epic's Rod Gergusson, and seems to be gaining traction with the fans.
