Final Fantasy XIII Post-E3 Wrapup

A few burning questions brought up by Square Enix's blowout of Final Fantasy XIII information, as asked in this week's Famitsu and answered by producer Yoshinori Kitase, director Motomu Toriyama and art director Isamu Kamikokuryo: Where is Cocoon and Pulse positioned relative to each other? (Toriyama) Cocoon is planet-like and floating inside the atmosphere of Pulse. Pulse is about the side of Earth; the landmass of Cocoon is about on the sale of the US. How do you get from one to the other? (Toriyama) Generally speaking, you can't. The purge that marks the start of the game, kicked off by the Pulse fal'Cie found within Cocoon, marks the first time it's possible. (link)
