Game and Watch Knockoffs Pulled From App Store

Don't rip off classic Nintendo property, and if you do, don't abbreviate the property in your forgeries' titles. Otherwise, Nintendo gets involved. Game over. Developer Mobile 1UP's four blatant Game and Watch duplicates GW Chef, GW Fire, GW Octopus and GW Parachute have been pulled from Apple's App Store. According to Mobile 1UP's Aaron Ardiri, the developer has received a cease and desist order from Nintendo of America ordering them to stop selling the games. Ardiri says Mobile 1UP plans to overhaul the games' graphics and remove the copyright-infringing Game and Watch likenesses before republishing them to the App Store. He did not provide a time frame.
