Amputee role dismissed by former model Word in from The Sun newspaper today confirms that Paul McCartney's ex, Heather Mills, turned down the chance to make a cameo in Bionic Commando - Capcom having apparently wanted to create a character in the game based on the former model.
According to a Twitter update, Mills wanted a large (potentially six-figure) donation to be made to charity, and that the publisher had wanted her in the game "because of her charity work with amputees."
Apparently Capcom and Mills couldn't agree on a fee, in the end. This from her:
"Got offered to promote an amputee bionic computer game, from a wealthy computer games company, I said if you donate a large sum to charity."
She added" "The stingy company came back saying they couldn't, what happened to charitable businesses, seems they just want to exploit and give nothing."
Capcom have refused to comment further on this story.
