Though sales slow down after the frenzied holiday season, the relative placement of hardware sales didn't see much of a change in January. Once again, the Nintendo systems combined sold more than every other system put together. Again, the Nintendo systems took top billing, the Xbox 360 in the middle, and the PlayStation family at the bottom. The Wii overtook the DS in sales, and the PlayStation 3 swapped places with the PlayStation Portable, putting the high-powered console at the top of its namesake's line.
