Over the past year or so we've hinted at Kenji Eno's impending return to the gaming world, and even profiled his free iPhone game, One-Dot Enemies . But now we can finally take the wraps off his first, bona fide console game since 2000's D2 for Dreamcast, a surprisingly minimal WiiWare experience called Kimi to Boku to Ritai, which basically translates to You and Me and the Cubes. We had a chance to catch up with Eno during this week's Game Developers Conference to talk a bit about his first gaming effort in nearly a decade. Here's what he had to say.
1UP: So tell us how you came up with Kimi to Boku to Ritai's concept.
Kenji Eno: I was immediately interested in making games for the Wii when Nintendo announced the hardware. I played with the system for a little bit, and the first idea that came to mind was a cube and people hanging from a cube. That was the initial concept for the game.
