Left 4 Dead 2 speculated for PS3

EA hastily pull listing... Valve's controversial Left 4 Dead sequel was announced as an Xbox 360 and PC exclusive over E3, however rumour this weekend - prompted by publisher EA - suggests that the game might make it to the PS3 after all. The developer aren't usually fans of Sony's sexy breadbin, but EA have handled ports in the past, so tongues were immediately set a-waggling when a PS3 version of Left 4 Dead 2 was listed as 'coming soon' on EA's site. The plot thickened further when the official game page also offered up a piece of placeholder PS3 box art for the unconfirmed game. EA did of course craft the decidedly ropey Orange Box for PS3, although the previous Left 4 Dead was rumoured to be heading to PS3 - but then never actually made it. The listing has now been pulled from EA's website, too, so this could just have been a mistake. Either way, we'll keep you posted. (link)
