You knew it was coming but Valve finally made it official today -- last year's reenactment of the zombie apocalypse is getting new content this spring. Left 4 Dead 's upcoming DLC will include "a new multiplayer game mode entitled Survival, plus two complete campaigns for Versus Mode." In addition, PC users are getting a little something extra with the update -- the ability to craft custom campaigns via the Source Software Devlopment Kit. It's free of charge to the mouse and keyboard crowd, and the user-created levels will be distributed through L4D's matchmaking system.
If you haven't gotten around to picking up the game yet, a Critic's Choice Edition will also hit stores around the same time with all the upgraded, meatier content included. So come this spring, you won't have any excuse for not playing. More specific details should be coming soon about what the new modes are like and how much they'll cost.
