Steam issues render title "unplayable" Square Enix RPG The Last Remnant, released on the PC only yesterday, is apparently almost "unplayable" according to anecdotal reports, purchasers of the new game getting rather hot under the collar.
The game isn't out on Steam until April 9th, despite which we're hearing that the game cannot actually be played or even installed as a result of Valve's download service.
While the game is supposed to be activated via a code from the manual, this code is apparently processed via Steam, which gives players errors when they try to register.
"The Last Remnant has not been officially released, and cannot be unlocked at this time. Please check Steam news to find out the release time. Steam will notify you when the game becomes unlocked," reads the message offered to irate players.
The Last Remnant is of course the first game being offered from Square Enix on Steam.
