Ask any Seattle sports fan, and they'll tell you that times have been pretty tough. Brutal, in fact. But for those fans who also happen to be gamers, there are at least a few perks to supporting the local team (especially with it getting off to a nice start).
According to Kotaku , Mariners fans will be getting some additional perks when they drop in at Safeco Field. Now they can not only order a hot dog on their Nintendo DS via the Nintendo Fan Network, they can check sports news, ESPN columns and closed-captioned PA announcements.
"ESPN has a long heritage of embracing emerging media platforms to deliver unique experiences to fans," said ESPN senior vice president of digital media production and product development John Zehr. "Our collaboration with the Nintendo Fan Network is a direct extension of the ESPN mission to enliven the sports experience, no matter how or where fans are consuming sports."
