In Japan, that is Reports online this morning, emanating from Japan, confirm that the Wii's long-awaited video service will kick-off in the land of the rising sun on May 1st.
The new channel is launching as part of a partnership with Japanese video experts Dentsu, who will manage the content offered on the service.
As well as delivering video for the Wii, the new channel will also allow users to transfer videos to the DSi for watching on the go.
Nintendo have repeatedly been linked with the Netflix service in the West, but no official word has been forthcoming as yet.
