Microsoft "Absolutely" Wouldn't Want to Swap Positions With Sony
Following Sony's not-so-veiled shot at Microsoft (and Nintendo) with its price comparison chart last week, Microsoft has responded with a fairly cool-headed response. Speaking at CES, Microsoft's Xbox 360 group product manager, Aaron Greenberg, took a less offensive approach by saying, "I would rather talk about why you should buy our console than why you shouldn't buy the competitor's system."
Sony believes -- or at least wants prospective consumers to believe -- that Microsoft is "peddling add-ons," but Greenberg thinks that having the lowest price on the market for a current-gen console was a big win for the 360.
"I would say we absolutely would not want to trade places with Sony," he told Kotaku . "We feel like being half the price of the PS3 served us quite well this holiday."
