There has been much discussion of late regarding just how long this console cycle will last, with the general feeling being that it may run a bit longer than the roughly five-year cycles we've been used to.
However, despite this, it seems that there are those who automatically have Nintendo pegged as the first one to jump into releasing a new console, no doubt due to the Wii's comparative weakness in the horsepower department.
But Marc Franklin, Nintendo's Director of Public Relations, painted a rather different picture when he spoke to That VideoGame Blog about the Wii and the future.
