No Plans for a PSP 2 According to David Reeves

The recently released NPD numbers revealed Sony's number one selling system for the month of November wasn't the PlayStation 3, but instead the roughly four year-old PlayStation Portable. Given its age and moderate success, it's a given that Sony is working on the follow-up, right? Apparently not, according to Sony Computer Entertainment Europe's David Reeves speaking to MCV (via Videogamer ). "No, there are currently no plans for a PSP2," he said. "I go to Tokyo quite a lot and no one has referred to it -- I think they have their hands full at the moment." When he says "hands full," he's referring to the company's focus on developing for "this generation of the platform," noting the launch of the PSP-3000 as an example of their efforts.
