No Pokemon MMO from Nintendo

Team boss plays down online plans 'Would you like some more money?', Nintendo were effectively asked this weekend by What They Play , to which the Japanese gaming giant has seemingly responded 'No, we've got just about enough, thank you'. When asked whether a Pokemon MMO game is on the way, series director Junichi Masuda has said that Nintendo have no such plans for one for the time being. "At this point, we're not thinking of going in that direction. Trading is a core concept of Pokemon. So when you're trading, you meet with a friend and decide which one you want and which one they want," the executive explained. "I would like to emphasize real-world communication. You don't see each other online." Natural progression and money-spinning be damned, Jiggly-puff won't be going MMO anytime soon, it would seem. (link)
