When Call of Duty launched back in 2003, it was a PC exclusive that never saw release on home consoles. That's about to change though, as the ESRB (via Kotaku ) has rated the title that started it all for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation 3.
The latter piece of information comes from the European review board PEGI , which specifies that CoD will be a downloadable title. At the moment, you can only find it on PC outlets like Steam, which is available along with its sequels.
Call of Duty was a full retail release in its day, and a sizeable one at that, so expect to pay a premium for the chance to play it again. It's a great game in its own right, being one of the first games to really kick the World War II shooter genre up a notch after Medal of Honor . And hey, it's not that old. Chances are it'll hold up rather nicely.
