Finally securing near-omnipresence for the casual gaming phenomenon, PopCap's Peggle has spread its influence to the iPhone App Store as of this morning. For a meager fee of just $4.99, iPhone and iPod Touch-equipped gamers can join the millions of office workers, DS and Xbox 360 owners, and World of Warcraft subscribers who spend countless hours shooting shiny balls at colored pegs when they should probably be doing something else.
New to the iPhone and iPod Touch versions of the game are a redesigned UI -- properly making use of the handheld's touch screen -- as well as a zoom function and several new types of style shots.
