Following in the tradition of Yellow , Crystal, and Emerald , Nintendo brings yet another slightly revised side-story Pok?mon game to the DS. If you've already played Diamond/Pearl , then Platinum will feel familiar -- but with some noticeable changes. While a new dungeon to explore after you collect most of your badges and new forms of familiar Pok?mon to catch, provide reasons for Pok?dex completionists to return to Sinnoh, this version feels more like it should be called Pok?mon Diamond/Pearl: Special Edition.
If you've never played Pok?mon before, Platinum is the one to start with. The game's foundation, from graphics to gameplay, is Diamond/Pearl, and I fully agree with Jeremy Parish's assessment of the previous game: this Pok?mon is the "best to date."
