Sony takes March hardware crown The PlayStation 3 is struggling, that's the word on the grapevine, while Nintendo can seemingly do no wrong. The latest news out of Japan, however, seems to buck this point of view.
According to the latest sales figures from Enterbrain, the PlayStation 3 outsold the Wii over the month of March in Japan - the first time this has happened for a whopping 16 months.
Apparently, the PS3 managed sales of nearly 147,000 systems over the course of the month, while the Wii only managed 99,000 - compared to the Xbox 360's 43,000.
Of course, the PS3 still isn't doing as well as Sony might like in Western markets - but this shows that it isn't all doom and gloom for the console maker.
