TransGaming's port of the ubiquitous tile-matching RPG Puzzle Quest recently surfaced on the iTunes App Store, where curious iPod Touch and iPhone owners can pick up the game for $9.99. From the looks of things, this portable version seems like a pretty faithful representation of the beloved original. Based on how great Puzzle Quest was on DS and PSP, that shouldn't be too shocking.
Curiously, this initial release is titled Puzzle Quest: Chapter 1 -- Battle of Gruulkar , and the description on the App Store claims that this is only the first of a three-part series of iPhone Puzzle Quest games. The developers promise that character data will transfer from chapter to chapter, but the other implications of this piece-by-piece distribution are still unclear. If this is merely the original game split into three bite-sized chunks, will we be expected to drop ten bucks for each part of the trilogy? Paying a total of $30 ...
