Red Faction: Guerrilla Was Originally A First-Person-Shooter

If you wondered why Volition decided to pull the camera back and make Red Faction: Guerrilla a first-person-shooter, you're not alone. There are still developers at Volition who wish the sequel had stayed true to its roots. "We have a lot of video early on [of RFG] in FPS mode," said producer Rick White to 1UP during a hands-on session with the game in Las Vegas a few weeks ago. "I came into the picture without really the history of Red Faction so it easy for me to say I'm just not seeing why it's fun, guys, it's just not making any sense to me. So let's just pull it back and see what happens. I took a lot of flack for that." (link)
