Resistance: Retribution Demo Available with Preorders

If you just can't wait to blow away more Chimera, the PlayStation.Blog gives word that preordering Resistance: Retribution will grant you an early demo. Putting some money down early at Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, or Game Crazy will grant a voucher code to play the demo two months before it's released to the general public. The demo includes a piece of the single-player campaign and the PS3 connectivity features . Sony is making a habit of offering exclusivity windows for demos when preordering first-party games, and we saw a similar pitch for Killzone 2 . While it's a nice bonus for loyal fans, demos can also be helpful tools in attracting players who otherwise wouldn't have considered the game. Providing the demo only to players who have already made a purchase decision runs the risk of cutting out a large demo window for indecisive gamers who might otherwise be buyers.
