We really liked MadWorld -- we gave it an A- in our review -- but most Wii owners didn't seem to notice when it hit the market. It sold 66,000 copies in its first week and quickly dropped off the radar, leaving some to speculate mature games would continue to struggle on Nintendo's platforms. For its part though, Sega remains optimistic.
"You have to push boundaries and explore. I think whilst MadWorld commercially didn't sell what we were expecting I wouldn't say it's game over for mature Wii titles from Sega," Sega Europe's Gary Gunn told Gamesindustry.biz .
"We're taking a look at the resources we have now. We've got money to invest in development, we're just considering where to invest it next."
