European boss keeping the faith Despite mediocre sales, adult Wii games like Madworld and House of the Dead: Overkill have turned a profit for Sega, who will invest more in mature titles for the 'casual' format. "You have to push boundaries and explore. I think whilst MadWorld commercially didn't sell what we were expecting I wouldnt say it's game over for mature Wii titles from Sega," offered Sega Europe boss Gary Dunn, talking to GI.biz . "We're taking a look at the resources we have now. We've got money to invest in development, we're just considering where to invest it next." Dunn adds that House of the Dead was actually profitable, although it did have a "sharp tail" at full price: "You get your money back and a bit on full price, but over the years, if we do the final product return on investment, profits come from the lower price point." More on this as we get it.
