Soccer and Pirates Come to Nintendo Downloadable Service

After weeks of piecemeal ports and unnecessary apps , Nintendo might be starting to realize what makes worthwhile DSiWare. This week we have Real Soccer 2009 from Gameloft for 800 DSi Points ($8 USD). The game appears to be a port of the full-fledged DS game released late last year. It was lost in the middle of the holiday season, but was well received by those who played it. Not only cheaper, the DSiWare version adds DSi functionality with the camera, letting players upload pictures as skins for the ball or player faces. WiiWare adds Family Pirate Party for 500 Wii Points ($5). Not to be confused with Party Fun Pirate , this board game has players rolling dice to explore islands and collect treasure. Finally, Virtual Console offers Galaxy Force II for 800 Wii Points ($8). This 3D Genesis shooter was originally a port from an arcade series.
