Supreme Commander 2 First-Look Preview

You're reading an E3 2009 preview, which we've broken into three sections to make it easy to sift through during this week of convention madness. Check out E3.1UP.COM for all (meaning words, screens, and videos) of our E3 2009 coverage. What's the game about? It's a story of three friends that are all on different sides of a massive conflict; as Gas Powered Games founder Chris Taylor puts it, "it's about how your decisions, tactical and strategic, play out in the context of friendships." While many real-time strategy games have throwaway stories, you can thank Square Enix's involvement as Supreme Commander 2's publisher for the additional push in storytelling. "We're trying to be more like Saving Private Ryan than just The History Channel," Taylor quips. (link)
