The National Institute On Media And The Family Goes After Nintendo For 'MadWorld'

 
  Watch Larger Version of this Video The National Institute on Media and the Family (NIMF) is coming down hard on Nintendo over MadWorld . According to IGN , NIMF president Dr. David Walsh: "The release of MadWorld for the Wii brings violent videogames to a once family-friendly platform. In the past, the Wii has successfully sold itself as being the gaming console for the entire family and a way to bring family-game nights back into people's living rooms. Unfortunately, Nintendo opened its doors to the violent videogame genre. The National Institute on Media and the Family hopes that Nintendo does not lose sight of its initial audience and continues to offer quality, family-friendly games." The comments are idiotic on several levels. If anything, NIMF should spew its silly venom at SEGA for publishing the game. SEGA is the company that developed and published the title. It can be argued that Nintendo is "at fault" for owning and controlling the Wii ... (link)
