Title to Square Enix's Unannounced Action Game Revealed?

The News: Last month , PlayStation: The Official Magazine teased that Square Enix has a new, unannounced action game in the works, unrelated to any of their existing franchises. Now Siliconera ( via Joystiq) has dug up a filing made by Square Enix with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for the name "Vanguard Storm," which similarly seems to have no relation to any existing franchise. Put two and two together, and... Our Take: As usual with these sort of stories, there's no telling yet if that's actually the title of this mysterious game, or if Square Enix will ever even use it (companies often file for patents and trademarks that they may never actually intend to use). Our deepest, most irrational hope: There was a typo in the filing, the name was actually meant to be "Vanguard Story," and Square Enix will finally announce the long-desired sequel to Vagrant Story .
