TOSE Talks U.S. Debut of The Legendary Starfy

 
Odds are, unless you like importing Japan-only platforming games featuring a starfish-looking protagonist that is neither a star nor a starfish, you probably aren't overly familiar with the Legendary Starfy (sometimes called Legendary Stafy ) series. The Legendary Starfy is a cutesy platforming game aimed at children that takes place underwater. The ocean setting gives it the unique element of allowing the player to move in any direction, rather than the usual left-to-right style you see in most platformers. After being moved from development on the Game Boy to the Game Boy Color and finally Game Boy Advance, the first game in the series, Densetsu no Starfy , was released in Japan and became a huge success in 2002. The second and third games followed suit with GBA releases, until the fourth game was released on the DS in 2006.
