Winter-Themed Avatar Clothing Now Available

The first free pack of Avatar clothing has arrived on Xbox Live, and appropriately enough it's themed for winter-wear. The new items include a snowboarding jacket, beanie, boots, and ski gloves, and are loaded automatically into the options when you start up the Avatar editor. New items are marked with a star so you can find them easily to make your little doppelganger look more like Shaun White . Microsoft previously hinted at monetizing the Avatar clothing, making a portion of the Xbox community cry foul. The company is planning themed packs well into the new year, and though this one was free, there's no guarantee that all of those planned ones will be. In other words, enjoy the free clothes while you can, because eventually Microsoft is bound to make money off of virtual pants and hats. (link)
