Xbox 360 Has Sold More Than 30 Million Units Worldwide

 
Nintendo may have the clear lead on the rest of the industry, with more than 50 million Wiis sold, but Microsoft's not upset with its numbers, either. The company just announced Xbox 360 has officially surpassed 30 million units sold worldwide and claims more than 20 million active Xbox Live members. "We expect our growth to continue to accelerate," said Microsoft senior VP of Interactive Entertainment Business Don Mattrick in the press release. "Our news at E3 next week will underscore our commitment to bringing blockbuster entertainment experiences to everyone and to growing the Xbox entertainment brand globally." Microsoft has been hyping its E3 announcements for several weeks now, promising to "completely transform how people think about home entertainment." Who knows what that means, but it's probably going to be include more enhancements to Xbox Live; last E3, Microsoft transformed the look of its hardware's interface with the slick-looking New Xbox ...
