Xbox Live Holding Gears 2 Map Pack Preview Event in Seattle

 
We know about the big content update for Gears of War 2 coming in July, but some lucky Washington residents will get a chance to see it as early as next week. The company announced today that Xbox Live will be hosting a special "First to Play" event for the pack next Friday, May 15 at the Experience Music Project|Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame in Seattle. Attendance is limited to the first 800 who show up, but those who get in will get to play with 20 kiosks featuring the new multiplayer content. The event will also feature a panel with Epic Games president Michael Capps and Gears 2 writer Joshua Ortega. If you want to go, be at the EMP|SFM by 8 p.m. next Friday, or more likely early to secure your spot. Attendees have to be at least 17, or accompanied by a parent, so it's possible that just this once you won't have a squeaky voice telling you that you just got owned.
