YouTube Gets PlayStation 3 and Wii-Friendly

As nifty as being able to access YouTube on your television right through the PS3 or Wii is, it's hardly an ideal experience. Navigation can be a real hassle using a game controller and YouTube knows this -- and that's exactly why a new, official, TV-friendly version of the site has been launched into beta. Known as YouTube for Television, this streamlined version of the site and makes it easy as possible to browse YouTube's collection of videos of backyard wrestling, Karl Pilkington, how to fold clothes in seconds, and everything in-between. The site can be accessed at www.youtube.com/tv -- but only through a PS3 or Wii at the present time. YouTube hopes to expand the number of TV-connected devices capable of supporting YouTube viewing (although the caveat is they'll only be doing this for devices with web browsers, meaning Xbox 360 owners shouldn't hold their breath for YouTube support).
