If you have yet to play the gaming orgasm known as Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, then now would be the time to jump aboard. Black Friday may be done and over but Amazon is still rolling on with the video game deals. Not sure how long this great deal will last so you should probably act fast if you want that nice 33% off the original price. If I didn't already have it I would be all over this deal. Nathan Drake Voice Actor Says Uncharted 3 is "Assured"

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves has been released to much critical acclaim, and is poised to be one of Sony's biggest titles of the holiday season, if not the entire year. So, with that said, what are our chances of seeing a third game in the series? "Well I know we're going to be assured a third one," said voice actor Nolan North, who portrays protagonist Nathan Drake, to Official PlayStation Magazine. "That would just be financially irresponsible, not to do a third one." As for a live-action portrayal, North would love to take up the part, but believes that Hugh Jackman would ultimately be the better fit. "Somebody like [Hugh] Jackman is the guy I would like to see. I think the producers really would like to see Jackman, because he has that tough guy exterior but there's a lot going on behind his eyes," said North.

Uncharted 2 Gets Free Multiplayer Map Friday

Christmas (or Chanukah, or Kwanzaa, or whatever the heck you celebrate) will come very early from Naughty Dog on Friday, as the developer will release a new multiplayer map for the super-critically-acclaimed Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. The map, called "Fort", is based on the "Fortress" level, and is a long rectangular map with plenty of places to flank. The best part? The update is absolutely free of charge, kicks off a "Double Cash" weekend, and adds in Doughnut versions of Drake and Lazarevic as playable characters. It makes them fat, by the way. Just like you'll be the day it comes out!

Spike Announces 2009 Video Game Awards Nominees

Earlier today, Spike TV confirmed that Halo: Reach will be among the megaton world premieres headlining the network's 2009 Video Game Awards show. But what about the nominees for the actual awards? Well, those are up too, and they reveal that Uncharted 2: Among Thieves goes in as the top pick with eight nominations. Batman: Arkham Asylum swoops in next, picking up seven nods, followed by a pair of big-time shooters, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Left 4 Dead 2, each with six noms apiece. The full list is available after the cut, which I'll leave you guys to discuss the semantics of (like the need for Best Performance by a Human Male and Female categories when there's already a category for Best Voice). Hopefully we'll find out more info on the rest of the exclusives, musical guests, and who the hell is actually going to host this shindig before it airs live on December 12. NPD: Uncharted 2 Heads October 2009 U.S. Game Sales

Though U.S. retail console game software slumped 18% year-on-year in October 2009, Naughty Dog's PlayStation 3 exclusive Uncharted 2: Among Thieves nonetheless topped the NPD charts, with 537,000 units sold. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Has Sold More Than 1 Million Copies

Nathan Drake's going to have better luck at retail the second time around, it seems. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves has already sold over a million copies. Sony Computer Entertainment America's senior VP of business development Phil Rosenberg announced the news just a little while ago at the BMO Capital Markets "Digital Entertainment Conference" in New York. "As of last week, we've already sold over a million copies [of Uncharted 2 ] in just a couple weeks on the market," said Rosenberg. Naughty Dog is currently working on downloadable content for Uncharted 2 , but the studio hasn't announced what exactly they have in the works. More single-player, please! (No, I don't expect that. Uncharted 2 Sales Reach One Million

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves was undeniably the biggest game of October and as such, the game's sales have been quite impressive. At the BMO Capital Markets Digital Entertainment Conference today, Philip Rosenburg - senior vice president of Sony - was proud to share the success of Naughty Dog's latest creation. According to Rosenburg, "It's the second highest rated PS3 game ever, and as of last week, we have already sold over a million copies in just a couple weeks of being on the market." Let's hope this is a trend that continues for PlayStation exclusives... for Sony's sake.
