Looks like lighters are becoming really popular with gamers! There seems to be a rash of lighters that are gaming-themed lately, with the batch you see above soon to be available. I don’t have a need for a lighter, but I’d still like to own these!

... is the winner. I'm the biggest Dig Dug fan around. It looks fantastic, too. The Galaxian one, with its slick engraved surface, is no slouch either. These lighters were created by Banpresto in Japan. They're all limited edition releases, made to celebrate Pac-Man's 30th anniversary next year.
Like the Sega console lighters, you'd really need to be a fan of the games, as these will cost ¥8,400 ($93) when they're released in Japan.

[image] Despite my parents' contrary behavior, I have never been into smoking. However, novelty manufacturer Banpresto seems to be doing their humble best to make me regret never lighting up. As you can see above, the company is producing a line of limited edition Zippos based on Namco arcade classics such as Xevious, Pac-Man, DigDug, and Galaxian, all in celebration of next year's 30th anniversary of Pac-Man.
