This situation hits at an unfortunate moment considering most people looking for the title are seeking to celebrate Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe's imminent release. Mortal Kombat II also proudly features Johnny Cage, easily the best character in a fighting game ever. MK II also introduced Mileena, the worst character ever created in a fighting game. ... this was a glitch caused by the last update. I seriously doubt Mortal Kombat II was deliberately removed, because it sat atop the most downloaded list for several straight weeks and is roundly considered the best of the old arcade versions. But there's no word from Sony or Midway on what the hell's going on. Anyone else seeing this? ... currently missing at the Playstation Store, according to That Gaming Site's report. First spotted by Playstation Forum users, the title was on the "most downloaded list" for weeks and neither Sony nor Midway provided any comments on the title's surprise absence.
Europe's PSN Store still has the title available. Meanwhile, Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe is still set to be released this November 16 for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
