Deadly Creatures delay confirmed
GoNintendo —
... a few weeks back. It was looking like Deadly Creatures wasn’t going to make its 2008 release. To no one’s surprise, THQ has confirmed that Deadly Creatures will indeed be pushed back yet again. The second delay for the game puts the title at a February 2009 release date. I honestly don’t mind the push back. I am really excited for the game, and it seems like THQ isn’t afraid to push back their Wii titles in order to ramp up the quality. Just look at how delays worked out for de Blob. Slow-acting venom: Deadly Creatures delayed
Joystiq [Nintendo] —
Filed under: NewsWhen it was first announced back in February, Rainbow Studios' Deadly Creatures seemed poised to be one of the most 'hardcore' action titles in 2008's Wii lineup. Now, we're quickly expending our supply of 2008, with nary a Deadly Creature to be found. This Halloween, on one of the game's planned release dates, THQ set their sights on December. Deadly Creatures deals with a double delay
Destructoid —
... Now, IGN is reporting that the game won’t ship until February of next year. It’s probably for the better, since gamers are surely busy with all of the great games that have come out in the past few months. More development time never hurt a game, and neither did “breathing room” in terms of a glut of games. I’m certainly still looking forward to Deadly Creatures! ...
Deadly Creatures bitten by the delay bug
That VideoGame Blog —
... Sad news for all of us who wanted to take control of scorpions and spiders on the Wii this holiday season. It looks like Deadly Creatures has been delayed yet again. Originally it was supposed to hit on Halloween, which made sense in the “bugs are scary and so is Halloween” way. Then it got pushed back to mid-December, which makes sense in the “they want to sell games way.” Now it has been pushed back to some time in February, which makes sens in the “we don’t want our Wii game to get lost in the holiday shuffle” way. ...
Deadly Creatures Suffers Deadly Delay

... Wii owner cry. Or perhaps let out a breath of relief, depending on how one feels about creepy-crawlies like tarantulas and scorpions. Third-party publisher THQ confirmed to IGN today that its Wii-exclusive action title, Deadly Creatures, has been delayed. The game will now ship for Nintendo's console in February of 2009, according to the company. This marks the second delay for the game, originally set for an October 31 ship date and then repositioned for a mid-December release. -- IGN I guess the game, in which you take control the above-mentioned nasties, has found an even ...
Wii's Deadly Creatures delayed until February 2009
Joystiq —
... We regret to inform you there will be fewer (well, fewer than usual) creepy crawlies under the tree this holiday season as IGN reports that THQ's Wii-exclusive Deadly Creatures has scurried underground until February 2009. The delay marks the ...

... to give us that extreme bug fighting game that was sure to be an unappreciated gem. From what we know already, Deadly Creatures has you playing as a scorpion and a tarantula, battling against other arachnids and insects. It’s promisingly dark story continues to unearth a deadly plot involving man. The game is said to push the Wii’s capabilities visually.
