Released as a mobile phone game in Japan, this wildly popular sequel has topped 3 million paid downloads as of February 25, 2009. The game focuses primarily on Ceodore, son of FINAL FANTASY IV heroes Cecil and Rosa. He is ably supported by a host of familiar faces from the original cast who star in a series of additional tales.

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years now available via WiiWare

... recent remake on DS, has a sequel which went straight to cell phones in Japan. As Square-Enix said would happen, we now have Final Fantasy IV: The After Years available on WiiWare for 800 points, which is the same price as a SNES game.
Also available is a downloadable episode for the game called Rydia’s Tale, which is the first of eight “expansions” for the main game at 300 points each.
