If it has the Microsoft Xbox 360 branding on it, you should be good. That's how you can tell it's licensed, even if Microsoft didn't make it themselves. So I wouldn't worry too much. If, for example, you purchased Datel's 2GB Max Memory Card (still available at Amazon.com and can expand up to 16GB due to a replaceable Micro SD card slot) to store data, it will no longer work.
