There were two Mortal Kombat movies, but I don’t know that you’d say they were responsible for making the franchise bigger than ever. If the games weren’t around, then a movie would have never happened! I think its the games that deserve more credit in this case.

According to Kasanoff's legal filing, he was instrumental in development of the franchise over the past 16 years.
